Diagnostic nasal endoscopy (DNE)

Your Diagnostic nasal endoscopy care

Diagnostic nasal endoscopy (DNE), is a procedure performed inside the nose to evaluate the nasal cavity using a thin and slender illuminated fiberoptic instrument.

During the routine nasal examination, a small area in front of the nose is illuminated allowing a “keyhole” view of the front part of the nose while rest of the nasal cavity remains dark.

How can you prepare

  • If you are a diabetic if you’re a hypertensive or hypothyroid patient you can take your daily medication as usual before coming for the DNE.
  • if you are a heart patient who’s taking clopidogrel or Ecosprin. You have to stop these medications at least 48 hours before the procedure.
